Administration and Medical Directors
  • Floro Miraldi M.D., Sc.D., CEO, is the former Director of Nuclear Medicine and Professor of Radiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland (“UH”). He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. Dr. Miraldi taught nuclear engineering at Case Western Reserve University (“CWRU”) and was involved in research and development of nuclear medicine instrumentation; he holds several patents related to the area. In 1970 he received his medical degree from CWRU. Dr. Miraldi completed his residency in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at UH and in 1978 he became the Director of Nuclear Medicine; a position he held until his retirement from UH in 1999. In 1985 Dr. Miraldi started the PET project at UH and remained the developer and Director of the PET Facility until his retirement. Dr. Miraldi is widely published in Nuclear Medicine and PET with over 100 papers to his credit. Dr. Miraldi formed neo•pet, L.L.C. in the fall of 1999 and presently serves as its chairman.


  • Carla Miraldi, President and Chief Financial Officer began her career at Morgan Stanley, Inc. and in 1986 was hired by Yamaichi International America, Inc., the American branch of the oldest of the “big four” Japanese investment banking firms. A year later, she became the youngest officer of the firm and Head of the Money Market Trading and Sales desk where she was responsible for trading BA’s, as well as the desk profit and loss positions, the firm’s weekly money market commentary, and new commercial paper program introductions. While completing her MBA studies in 1990 she began investing in real estate and today owns and manages several properties. During the same time, she obtained a patent for a new consumer product that she distributed through Woolworth and Kmart in addition to other retailers before selling the rights to the patent. Shortly thereafter, she joined Brown, Gibbons, Lang and Company, an investment banking firm, as Vice President where she was involved in a variety of deals for new ventures and middle market companies. Ms. Miraldi left Brown, Gibbons, Lang and Company in 1996 and purchased a seven man machine shop. Over three and one-half years, the business grew into an ISO 9000 compliant facility with thirty employees and sales of over three million dollars. Ms. Miraldi joined neo•pet, LLC in 2001 as Vice President of Strategic Development.


  • Lee Adler, M.D. is a Medical Director for neo•pet LLC. He has over 23 years of experience in nuclear medicine. He is also the Director of Nuclear Medicine and PET at Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Secretary of the Academy of Molecular Imaging.

  • Vito Salvo, Vice President of Operations has worked in the mobile imaging environment for over twenty years. As an instrumental employee of Nuclear Medical Imaging Company, a mobile nuclear business in existence for 23 years co-founded by Dr. Miraldi, Mr. Salvo has gained a complete understanding of complex mobile imaging operations and management. Mr. Salvo maintains CNMT and RT licenses and was a practicing nuclear technologist for several years prior to joining Dr. Miraldi. Mr. Salvo joined neo•pet in April of 2000.
